I'm Alvin Meledath, from Mumbai, India. I have done my Graduation in Management and Masters in Commerce from Mumbai University. And I am presently pursuing my dual MBA & Msc in International Management degrees from Vancouver Island University and University of Hertfordshire and graduate in January 2020.

I have over 4 years of experience working across multiple sectors such as development, consulting, tech and banking. Holding multiple roles such as strategy, research, communication and relationship management. Leading teams and projects independently across regions.

I am very passionate about supporting communities and people in need and hope to build an inclusive community that supports one another.

Second Place Finish in National Student Research Paper Competition Canada 2019

My research paper titled "Reconciliating the Indigenous Doctor Shortage Gap: Social Change through a Collaborative Community Empowered Network" was shortlisted as top 5 in the National Student Paper Competition on the Future of the Public Service hosted by IPAC & Government of Canada.

Great Canadian Sales Competition: Semi Finalist 2019

Finished in the Top 25% out of 4,206 students from 80 campuses, across Canada. Worked with North American Plastics (NAP) to design a sales pitch for the Product Line for the last round.

Community Market Research Excellence

Conducted a Market Fesability Study for Nanaimo Foodshare's Good Food Box Program from an access, nutrition and social well being point of view. The study conducted was a multidisciplinary study partnered with Undergraduate students from Sociology & Antripology streams supported by Vancouver Island University. The research paper was shortlisted for multiple conferences and presented at the CREATE and BC Studies Conference at TRU.

Third Place Finish in Fraser Institute Call for Papers on Automation & Adam Smith Philosophies

My paper titled "Human Centric Automation: The Balance Between Collective Opportunities Engagement" finished Third Place in the Fraser Institute Call for Graduate Essays utilizing economic ideologies to create modern day solutions.

I had the pleasure of working with Alvin in creating the Career Studio for Vancouver Island University. Alvin demonstrated strong leadership skills, creativity and enthusiasm!
